Lawton Fort Sill Chamber Redcoats back in action!
Redcoat Ambassador Denise Henry (right) welcomes new Chamber members.
As the Lawton Fort Sill Chamber gets back out into the community, our volunteer group of Redcoats jumps back into action!
We recently held a Ribbon Cutting for Anna's Mobile CPR and First Aid Training.
This new member brings something to the community we've never had: easy access to CPR and First Aid training.
While many companies require certification, it's always been a struggle to find a training professional with hours that are flexible.
Anna has found a way to incorporate the required online training with the hands on certification based on your schedule.
As a nurse, Anna knows the importance of maintaining required training. She also knows how difficult it is to find time to schedule it.
That's why she created this wonderful mobile program that will bring training to the community.
As a Redcoat Ambassador, it was a pleasure to welcome her to the Chamber family!
Ribbon Cutting at Hearts That Care
Redcoats in action at Hearts That Care
Redcoats from the Lawton Fort Sill Chamber of Commerce are back in action!
Thirty two of us attended the Ribbon Cutting for Hearts That Care in Lawton, the most attendance we've seen since February.
Hearts That Care is a non-profit, volunteer clinic that provides medical, dental and vision care free for residents who do not have insurance.
They used to be housed in a small metal building that barely served their needs, but being a donation based organization that was all they could afford.
With grants and local donations, this clinic has raised 1.2 million of the 1.4 million needed to completely restore the new facility and provide medical care to more individuals.
As a Redcoat, I enjoy the opportunity to welcome new businesses and congratulate expanding businesses.
But this one stole our hearts. Their commitment and dedication to those less fortunate restores our faith in others.
Chamber Redcoats Support the Community
Chamber Redcoats enjoying lunch
SERVPRO of Lawton SMR Denise Henry is very active in the local Chamber of Commerce, including the Redcoats organization.
We are a team of volunteers who promote our local businesses, participate in chamber retention visits, attend ribbon cuttings and numerous other functions.
This picture was taken at a recent quarterly luncheon. Our first group luncheon since the pandemic hit.
And it was a blast! As Redcoats, we're used to being out and active in our community. We support each other, and we like our luncheons.
Although the mask ordinance is still in effect, once we were seated in the private meeting area we were allowed to take the masks off and see all the smiling faces.
That was a treat. So many months of being apart, or just seeing a masked face made us realize how much we missed seeing a smile.
I don't what your corner of the world is like right now, but I hope you take every opportunity to see friends and family and embrace the joy a smile brings!
Thank you for your Chamber membership!
Local businesses are happy to see a Redcoat
With the return to (almost) business as usual, the Lawton Fort Sill Chamber of Commerce is once again sending the Redcoat Ambassadors into the field to deliver current window clings to members.
SERVPRO of Lawton marketing representative Denise Henry was happy to take on this task, as the Redcoats had been benched since March due to COVID-19.
One of her many stops was the U.S. Cellular branch on 82nd Street.
This branch just recently reopened, as operations were run from a sister office during the pandemic.
There were smiles all around as Denise visited with the staff, and presented them with the 2020 - 2021 membership decal.
It's always a good day to be a Redcoat, and to interact with local businesses.
Thanking them for their continued membership in an organization that supports their business is important.
Seeing their smiles was priceless.
Supporting our Lawton Fort Sill Chamber of Commerce
Celebrating the return of Breakfast Before Business
Our Lawton marketing representative, Denise Henry, is a Redcoat Ambassador for the Chamber.
And she, along with the other Redcoats, was very happy that we've started to return to business as usual.
The Redcoats are highly visible at Ribbon Cuttings, Breakfast Before Business, and Business After Hours events.
However, everyone was grounded in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic. All events were canceled, as local emergency orders restricted gatherings.
Today was different. Today we all got together and celebrated a Breakfast Before Business at a local coffee shop.
Today we gave back to our community by supporting a local chamber member.
And it felt good! The joy of seeing everyone come out to support a fellow business owner brought smiles to everyone's faces. (Even if you couldn't see the smile due to the mask requirement.)
You could see the happiness in everyone's eyes, and it was good.
SERVPRO of Lawton is proud to support our communities, and promote our local businesses.
We hope to see you at future events!
Here to help our First Responders
SERVPRO of Lawton team members have been working side by side with our First Responders throughout the COVID-19 crisis by providing free, proactive cleaning of their vehicles.
These cleanings have helped provide their members with peace of mind, knowing their units are clean and healthy.
We're thankful we can help. Can you help, too?
Here in Texoma, most of our fire departments are volunteer units. And they rely on community donations to provide funds to repair their vehicles and replace equipment.
Sadly, all fundraisers have been canceled, leaving these departments with no funding.
Would you consider giving? Reach out to your local Volunteer Fire Department. Mail a check to help offset their out of pocket expenses. Or perhaps you could drop off a case of water or snacks?
SERVPRO of Lawton is honored to serve our First Responders. Won't you join us?

Creating community partnerships for our First Responders
Water donated by SERVPRO of Lawton and Sparkletts benefits area fire fighters.
SERVPRO of Lawton has partnered with local businesses to support our area First Responders.
We are providing emergency kits to our First Responders so that they can distribute them to residents in need.
Oftentimes, when fire destroys a home, the family is left with nothing except the clothes on their backs. These kits offer them a lifeline, knowing their basic needs are provided for until help arrives.
These kits include shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, a comb, tylenol and advil, protein bar, notepads and pens, coloring books and crayons, stuffed animals, bandaids and more.
Sparkletts Water also joined us in delivering a palette of bottled water to Comanche Country Emergency Management for distribution to area fire fighters!
SERVPRO of Lawton would like to thank:
CASA of Southwest Oklahoma
Comanche County Memorial Hospital
Farmers Insurance Angela Schertle
Good Vibes Nutrition Center
WellFast Urgent Care
for their help in providing the emergency kits to our First Responders!
